Can I know my chances of being selected?

A listing alone cannot tell you. The outcome depends on your experience, language skills, file and the employer's decision.

Does the employer's approval guarantee a permit?

No. Employer approval is not a guarantee of a work permit or permanent residence; the decision belongs to the competent authority.
